About OpenReplay
OpenReplay is a session replay tool you can run on your own infrastructure, which is its main draw for teams in regulated industries or with strict privacy rules. Alongside replays it captures developer context such as network requests, console logs and performance data, and adds product analytics, funnels, heatmaps and live co-browsing so support staff can see and assist a user in real time. The self-hosted edition is free; the source is public on GitHub under a mix of licences, with some enterprise features under a commercial licence. OpenReplay also sells a managed dedicated instance and a usage-based serverless cloud. It is aimed at engineering-led teams comfortable running Docker or Kubernetes, and the analytics side is less mature than dedicated tools. It runs in the browser for viewing sessions and supports web and mobile apps.
Best for: Engineering teams that must keep session data on their own servers.
