About Dialpad

Dialpad is a cloud communications platform that puts business calling, texting and video meetings into one app, with its own speech AI running through all of it. Every call can be transcribed live, summarised afterwards and searched, and the same AI feeds coaching, sentiment and quality-scoring features. The product is split into lines: Dialpad Connect for general business phone and meetings, Dialpad Sell for sales teams with dialers and CRM sync, and Dialpad Support for contact centers with queues, workforce management and AI agents. It integrates with Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho and other tools, and offers local numbers in more than 50 countries. Pricing is per user per month, with higher tiers for the sales and contact center products, Enterprise plans on quote, and a free trial. Apps run on Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android and the browser, plus a Chrome extension. It suits companies that want AI transcription and coaching built into their phone system.

Best for: Teams that want calls, meetings and texts in one app with AI transcripts and summaries built in.

Pros and cons

What works

  • Real-time transcription and call summaries on the base plan
  • Calling, messaging and meetings in one app
  • Separate products for sales and contact center teams
  • Apps for Windows, Mac, mobile, web and Chrome

Why people leave

  • CRM integrations start on the Pro tier, not the cheapest plan
  • Contact center plans are much pricier than the phone plans
  • Several overlapping product lines make plan choice harder
